The Montgomery County Watergarden Society was founded in 1999 and has grown to over 100 members. We are dedicated to the further education and enjoyment of ponds and water gardening in the Clarksville, Montgomery County areas of Tennessee. The Society does not meet in November, December, January and March. Our Annual banquet takes place in February. During the Spring and Summer Months we hold monthly "POND PARTIES" which are social events held at a members home where one can look, learn and enjoy the watergardens created by others in the society. Our year culminates in our annual "WATER GARDEN TOUR" which is the only source of revenue for the organization other than membership fees.

The Montgomery County Watergarden Society is a not-for-profit organization. All funds collected and raised go to the operational expenses of the organization and to benefit its members. All officers serve on a voluntary basis.  Summer is the time when oxygen deficiencies are most likely to occur.  Obviously fish need oxygen, and insufficient aeration may result in dead fish.  In very hot weather fish are using more oxygen and the water is holding less.  If you have a heavy fish population or low circulation in your pond, consider supplementing with extra aeration.  This can be in the form of a waterfall, fountain, or simply an air pump.
